I'm BACK

I know you've missed me ... or not ... but I'm back BLOGGING! Yay!

I've got to say, I'm a big fan of tonight's show. One thing that makes the Casino Rama Grill Room stand-out in Toronto is the fact we talk all sports, and when we need to focus on one, we don't shy away.

Tonight, it's all basketball - with new Raptors play-by-play guy, Matt Devlin. Devlin's new to the city, but absolutely loves it. As far as dude's go, Devlin's top-notch. Also on the program is Paul Jones, Raps radio voice. Jones lat out knows the NBA and is one of our favorites guests. Last, but certainly not least, is Raps TV's very own Sherman Hamilton. He's been there, and done that - and whenever we're talking ball, Sherm is a must.

We're talking a ton of Raps on the show, Steve Nash's future, Samuel Dalembert's comments about Leo Rautin's and the Canadian team, and Greg Oden.

As for what else's going on - as many of you know, I'm a soccer columnist for the Toronto Sun, and a ton has been going on with the Canadian Men's National Team. Of course, they didn't qualify and a whole lot of negative press has been coming there way.

To be fair, a lot of it has been deserving, and I have no problem saying that changes need to be made to the way the CSA has been run. My column in Monday's Sun hilighted some of the reasons.

A should clarify one point - I mentioned how travel arrangements have been inadequate. That statement isn't completely fair - travel arrangements, accommodation and the treatment the players have received have been as good as they can be during qualifying. This should be pointed out - the CSA has gone above and beyond in terms of expense and cost for this campaign. However, this hasn't always been the case with the CSA.

More on this in the future - but as for tonight against Mexico, it may be tough to expect a win, but at the very least, seeing the boys play an open and entertaining brand of football would be great to see. Also, don't expect a big crowd at Commonwealth - in the area of 10,000 people is what it's looking like - YIKES!
