Right on Steven! I did have high expectations for the Jays though. But I hated the decision to acquire Stewart and let Johnson go. The pitching looked so good on paper and the hitting and pitching just can't sinc up enough. As much as I liked the old manager, I truly believe he was a one dimensional bench bos. A manager has to be able to manufacure runs. I watched too many games this year where the Jays left many on base. Some call it Billy-ball or small-ball but I call it base ball, when you need to: hit and run, double steal, squeeze a player in and/or call a suicide squeeze. I saw none of this with the Jays for years. Ricciardi made a mistake with the Big Hurt and I never understood his decision ot pay the money he did and acquire him in the first place. It was painful to watch him run around the bases. I still believe the Jays have a core group of good guys, they just need to get some confidence on the mound (pitch inside for God Sakes) and a bench boss with some cajones and creativity!!!!
